THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT OF OUR COMPANY.
At our company, we are firmly committed to caring for the environment and actively strive to protect the planet and its inhabitants. We believe that it is our responsibility to take care of our environment and contribute to a sustainable future. Through a series of concrete actions, we work to make the world a better place. One of our main initiatives is the use of solar energy at our Manresa plant. By tapping into this renewable energy source, we significantly reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and associated carbon emissions. This allows us to operate cleaner and contribute to the fight against climate change. In addition, we are committed to sustainable mobility. 75% of our vehicles are electric, which allows us to reduce air pollution and decrease our carbon footprint. By opting for means of transport that are more respectful of the environment, we are contributing to improving air quality and protecting the health of people and ecosystems. When it comes to our products, we strive to minimize negative impacts on the environment. For example, we do not use PFCs (perfluorocarbon compounds) in the water repellent of our products. These compounds are persistent and bioaccumulative, and their use may have harmful effects on the environment and aquatic life. By avoiding them, we are protecting aquatic ecosystems and promoting safer alternatives. In addition, we have adopted the use of biodegradable bags for the packaging of our products. These bags break down faster than conventional bags, reducing the impact of plastic waste on the environment. By promoting the use of biodegradable bags, we are working to preserve terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
We also care about animal welfare and avoid the use of down of animal origin in our jackets. We opt for high-quality synthetic alternatives that do not involve animal suffering. In this way, we support the protection of wildlife and promote ethical practices in the fashion industry. Awareness about recycling and reuse is fundamental in our company. We strive to minimize our waste and maximize the recycling of materials. We encourage reuse wherever possible, whether it be by repairing products or donating to charity. By doing so, we reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the conservation of natural resources. Our factory has several certificates that demonstrate our commitment to ethical and sustainable values. Among these certificates are the OEKO-TEX, SMETA, UKISO and AMFORI certificate. These recognitions support our responsible practices in terms of labor conditions, environmental protection and compliance with international standards.
