The Sala family, founders of the company, trace their roots back to the Industrial Revolution in Spain.

At the end of the 19th century, Mr. Magí Sala, great-great-grandfather of the current management, was the first director of a textile factory in Gironella (Barcelona), beginning a tradition rooted in both industry and a passion for sports—especially mountaineering.

Lluís Sala: passionate about the mountains.

Mr. Lluís Sala, father of the current directors, was a passionate hiker, climbing and trekking, reaching important peaks of the peninsula with scarce resources.

His enthusiasm and wisdom contributed significantly to the company's achievements.
